then kill them as they are disconnected!!! Easy win. Woot for you.
When this happens to me I try changing districts to get on different servers which is the best way to do this. The lag is still there. Just give it a day or two and you will be back up and running.
remember that there is no fee so it does not cost you anything to wait a day. Go outside get some fresh air. walk around ride a bike, drive your car. Go golfing. Do something.
I like to play Guitar as I get disconnected or stand around in town trying to sell things.

I don't experience "lag" (latency), but I do experience what is the direct result of a CPU running at 100% fairly regularly. My henchmen and/or heroes will stop moving and then simply teleport to my side in their idle positions every few seconds. After the CPU finishes doing whatever it is doing and the server gets it back, everything is good again. They simply have their server maxed out. They need to do like other MMO companies and add a few servers.

This can easily be replicated. I usually run with a couple RAM-demanding applications (C4D, CS3 and GW) and when I ALT+TAB outta full-screen GW, then back on GW again, I'll see everything teleport around. It's reaaaaally annoying, especially when I 'tab out to check Wiki or to reply to PMs on instant messengers. Same thing with Diablo2 (everything stops for a second, then speeds up for 10).

Well as I said after I got my 3 Gig ram super fast
Intel® Core™2 Extreme QX9770 (12MB,3.2GHz)
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium
3GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1067MHz - 2 DIMMs
SINGLE CARD:ATI Radeon HD3870 512MB
500GB - Seagate 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache
I am superman for a while and then I get lagged to the point of DQ/DC So the DBY/YIS is converted to the GYS/LKO I really fly with the "N" network.
But not so much last night of course. They will fix it. Maybe they are trying something with the GW2. It will go away i am sure

Oh with 3GB RAM you won't replicate the "problem" I have, which seems similar to Baracus - I wouldn't even call mine a problem because I know how to avoid it. Unless you run like 4 or 5 more of these RAM-demanding applications :P. What you're describing is related to the network (ISP, IP routing, etc) and not your computer specs, while what I said to Baracus was that I was able to replicate the same problem with my own computer usage.
So you can have a couple reasons for lagging, which may or may not apply to everyone else.
1. A month ago, I was having problems. Browsers wouldn't work, couldn't connect on games... called my bro-in-law, who checked at his friends' house, which runs on the same ISP as I do. Didn't work either.
2. Yesterday it's my bro-in-law who came downstairs, asking if I was having a problem with my connection. I didn't. I was on Vent and GW at the time and I didn't have any lagging or disconnecting issues. His friend couldn't access the net at all.
3. Over a year back, I was having constant problems with my connection (completely different ISP). I checked with other users, some reported problems, some didn't... I even found people around me who had the same problem but weren't with the same ISP, while another ISP (Videotron) was working just fine even is the same area.
#1 was a global problem. They had server problems at the ISP. I don't think anyone connected with the ISP could have accessed it that day. #2 was a hardware problem. Was his router in the end, it worked just fine after the reset. #3 was a local problem, something went up with the phone lines (AEI and Sympatico uses ADSL - Videotron uses cable). Bell Canada guy messed in the phone box or something and everything works fine now.
Since people from the UK and NA are having problems, I think we can say it's not a local thing. As I said, I doubt it's an ISP problem, unless everyone who's lagging using the same ISP, which I doubt. The server(s) they access, however, COULD be running on ISPs which are having a hard time. Or they could all be individual, different cases caused by whatever... therefore the need for more information.

Running at 100% CPU has nothing at all whatsoever to do with "They need more servers"...

I've been having Error 004's and 005's lately. Not sure if the lag has anything to do with that happening...

Well it would seem as though I WAS RIGHT.. or rather MY WIFE WAS RIGHT!
As it turns out the LAG is once again GONE. I am now at 73 Ping with my tower and wireless Laptop. My ping is better now than before.
Just have some patience there guys.
I am glad that they are making improvements to the system a little at a time. After all they can not do the changes at 8:00 am and disrupt all of the business so they do it at night.
Woot GO WIFE!

My wife was saying that it all depends on what "Nodules" that your "pathways" go though. You are going through different ones than I am. If it was the SERVER then everyone would experience the SAME thing.
Thanks for the proof Monarch

seems that this occurs only for those living in US and nearby? or at least that is my theory.
Anyone from Singapore, Indonesia, any other Asian country here also experiencing this?
If yes, then it's Anet's server, no question.

My play is now rather random. I can spend a few hours playing then poof, error 007, 56, 14 and a coupld of others.
I can however be brousing guildwarswiki just fine. Even Guru normally works fine and we know what a bandwidth hog it is.
Edit: corrected spelling errors.
